The Chiang Mai Flower Festival Parade
The main event of the festival is its street parade. The parade takes place on Saturday the 4th of February 2023 and starts off around 9 am. It is quite a slow procession, with the parade regularly pausing. The Chiang Mai Flower Festival is a vibrant and colorful event held annually in the city of Chiang Mai, located in northern Thailand. The 2023 Chiang Mai Flower Festival takes place February 3-5, 2023 at the corner of Bumrung Buri Road and Arak Road.


Roses are one of the most prized flowers in Thailand and according to their color can symbolize love, passion, friendship and even romance. Gerbera is symbols of fertility, peace, and joy. Lilies are symbols of purity, respect, rebirth, and love. Daisies are flowers humility and friendship.


Lotus. Lotus has a special place in Thai culture, especially in Buddhism. It is the flower of choice when Thais want to make a sacred offering to monks. The flower also appears in many Thai proverbs.


The main event is centred around Buak Hat Park in the south-west corner of the Old Town area of Chiang Mai. This is where the floats are parked up and displayed once the street parade has finished.
