Crafting a latte with a heart-shaped design requires both precision and a gentle touch. It begins with pulling a perfect shot of espresso, its rich, golden crema swirling into the cup. Then, the steamed milk must be frothed to the right consistency—smooth and velvety, with microfoam fine enough to create art.

As the milk is poured, the technique involves starting higher to break through the crema and then gradually lowering the pitcher as the cup fills. Once the cup is nearly full, the barista slightly shakes the pitcher side to side while pouring into the center of the cup. This creates the base of the heart, a round shape of milk foam that spreads out across the top of the coffee.

To complete the heart, the barista sharply pulls the milk stream through the center of the foam at the end of the pour, shaping the top of the heart into a fine point.

The result is a delicate, creamy heart floating on the surface of the latte, a symbol of the care and skill put into the drink. For the coffee lover, this heart is a perfect blend of aesthetics and taste, elevating the coffee experience.
