Huay Tung Tao Reservoir (อ่างเก็บน้ำห้วยตึงเฒ่า)
A great place to chill. Restaurants are good. Afternoon beers is always nice here especially as the sun is setting down. It is a big space so it is very easy to find parking space. Toilet is not bad at all and there are a number of trails from easy to hard around the place. Enjoy.
The lake is a great park, one can spend the day in and a nice place for families with all the facilities.
There are many restaurants on the shore of the lake and the seafood is excellent, the prices of restaurants are cheap and the sessions are on a bamboo raft. There are also models of straw animals, as well as rice fields and a sheep farm.
Entry is 50 baht per person, and in restaurants, 20 baht is paid per person.
The place is worth visiting in Chiang Mai
Great place. You can sit in a wooden hut directly over the water, order food and drinks and relax. We were there at around 10 am and a lot of huts were free, 2 hours later and nearly every hut was occupied. It seems to be mostly visited by Thais though.
